	We are a group of Minecraft enthusiasts from all walks of life dedicated to documenting all sorts of strange and unusual Minecraft phenomena all over the world! What originally started as an investigative side project by a group of bored teenagers running a PvP server has become something much bigger than we anticipated.
	As of today, we have 93 members dedicated to capturing hauntings and other strange encounters within Minecraft in all sorts of formats, from screenshots and videos to entire save files and even individual accounts.

	The CHC was informally “founded” in September 2013 when multiple people on our PvP-focused faction server (which we now use as our “headquarters”) complained of some strange happenings on the server, such as unexplained noises, structures not placed by any human being (the server did not have WorldEdit, but we had a plugin to sniff out griefers), and blocks mysteriously disappearing when the server was otherwise inactive.

	Following thorough investigation of these incidents, we realized that the cause was more than just something that could be hand-waved as a simple bug, some nameless griefer, or a hiccup in Minecraft’s code. What we didn’t know at the time is that we weren’t the only ones with “haunted” worlds beyond Herobrine or White Eyes.
	We later extended our “operations” to other players on the Minecraft Forums of the time to conduct private investigations on strange entities whenever we could find time, usually after school or during winter break. We communicated chiefly on Skype whenever we couldn’t see each other and often investigated well into the night (or when our parents sent us to bed).

	While this only started as a small group effort by four friends with an interest in the digital paranormal, over the years our membership has steadily grown, eventually culminating in a Discord server around the service’s launch in 2015 that still grows to this day.

	The Head Honchos are a leading council of our most influential members and investigators. In the beginning it started with just swagdazz, pinksunrise74, verdastel87, and 8Hennifer8, when we would meet after school in person or on Skype, but we have since expanded to seven Head Honchos!

	Sometime down the road, we learned the hard way that some anomalies posed very real mental, emotional, spiritual, psychological, and even physical danger to human players that rendered certain encounters far too dangerous for us to simply log on and raw-dog the investigation without serious risk of injury.

	CHC_Crawler was created by a few Japanese players who joined our faction server in October 2019 and kindly offered to create this tool to help investigate or find anomalies that were too dangerous or out-of-reach.

	~~The bot works by crawling for Minecraft servers that are still somehow open but inactive with few/no players, though it can also be manually deployed to servers that have reported anomalous activity.~~

	While active, CHC_Crawler behaves like a typical player, though is unable to chat. The bot will autonomously take screenshots of things it determines as being unusual or interesting, or record videos up to a minute long, before relaying its findings to a private channel in our Discord server. These investigations can get fairly intense at times; it really is like watching a thriller movie in real time.

	As an extra measure of caution, CHC_Crawler is equipped with a specially-made shader active at all times, dubbed our “Anti-Cognitive Dissonance (ACD) Shader v1.04”. This shader will mitigate psychological damage by obscuring any imagery that may be potentially scarring to human eyes through advanced image-detection and filtration.
